My top uses for colostrum...
November 11, 2017
I fell in love with Surthrival colostrum with the first spoonful. The buttery, creamy flavor and smell. For a long time, I was just using it as recommended, but I had read of all the different ways to incorporate it into your diet.
The benefits of Surthrival colostrum are hands down more superior than any other single supplement I’ve experienced, and I have tried a lot. Colostrum is known as the first food, it's the life blood that delivers the initial immune benefits to protect all mammals. It also helps the body regenerate because of the growth factors it contains and there are 87 of them. Colostrum is produced within the first 24 hours after birth, after 24 hours the liquid becomes transitional milk.
Here are some of the amazing benefits and results you can experience by taking colostrum daily.
97 immune factors and 87 growth factors
Helps to boost natural production of Human Growth Hormone
Increases proliferation of healthy cells
Increased immune function so you get sick way less and recover faster
Helps to increase energy and muscle repair, great for pre-and post-workout
Allergies, asthma, and digestive issues subside (it can even benefit people with lactose intolerance)
Helps build lean muscle and assists in burning excess fat, whoop!
So, here are the ways I use colostrum….
I take a teaspoon of colostrum and let it melt in my mouth. I do have to advise you with this method though, take a drink of water before you put it in your mouth, it can make your mouth super dry. Don’t try to talk until it’s all dissolved, you’ll just be blowing the powdery substance all over. Some will also stick to the gums and in
between the teeth, but that’s a great thing, again colostrum helps regenerate so if you have receding gums like I did, it’s fantastic. It helps with all overall oral care.
The next way I like to use colostrum is in my coffee as a creamer. I do Bulletproof my coffee using 2 tablespoons of grass-fed unsalted butter and 2 tablespoon of Bulletproof Brain Octane. Bullet proofing your coffee is already as Dave Asprey says “upgrading it”, so add a little colostrum and its super upgraded and creamier.
The last way I like to use it is in my food or as a cheese replacement. You can sprinkle this on your pasta instead of parmesan. I love popcorn! It used to be my deserted island food. These days I will pop some corn on the stove (microwave popcorn is super toxic) in coconut oil, I drizzle with grass-fed butter, salt to taste with pink Himalayan salt, and then sift a generous amount of colostrum, creating a fantastic powdery layer. Add a little dash of organic garlic powder too if you like garlic. It’s like homemade Smartfood popcorn without the artificial flavors, preservatives, and GMO ingredients. Now you can enjoy indulgently tasty popcorn with no hesitation.
